The Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Ministry of Labor jointly promoted the "Expanded Respite Service Plan for Families Hiring Foreign Care Workers". Since December 1, 109, the service targets will be relaxed. Those who have been assessed as requiring long-term care needs Level 2 to 8, such as  If the employed foreign family caregiver is on leave or cannot assist in taking care of the leave for some reason, you can apply for respite service, no longer subject to the restriction of more than 30 days window period.


 Considering that most of the care recipients who hire foreign family care workers are in need of full-time care or intensive care, in order to ensure the safety and care quality of such care recipients during the vacation (off) of the foreign family care workers, and to reduce family caregivers  Caregiving pressure and burden, since December 1, 109, the care recipients who have hired foreign family care workers have been assessed by the county and city long-term care management center as long-term care needs level 2 to 8, can be employed in foreign family care  Applying for respite service during work leave will help more caregivers who hire foreign care workers to get a respite, and protect the rights and interests of foreign family caregivers.


 Considering the needs of families and care recipients employing foreign family care workers, if the care recipients are assessed to meet the needs of long-term care at levels 2 to 8, in addition to respite services, they can also apply for professional services, transportation, and auxiliary services.  There are multiple long-term care services such as furniture services, residential barrier-free environment improvement services, home bathing car service, and community-style transportation services.


 The Ministry of Health and Welfare will continue to enrich respite service resources and improve long-term care services. If families employing foreign care workers have long-term care service needs, they can dial "1966" using local calls or mobile phones, and the county and city long-term care management center will provide special personnel  Apply for long-term photo related service information.
